Construction Equipment Division is part of GAZ Group, Russia's largest engineering corporation, and specializes in production of road and construction equipment. Within its perimeter CE Division has widely acclaimed Russian plants: Tver Excavator, Chelyabinsk Construction and Road Machines, Bryansk Arsenal, Excavator plant Kovrovets, Zavolzhsky Crawler Vehicle Plant.
On a daily basis the plants' conveyors turn out crawler, wheeled and truck-chassis-based hydraulic single-bucket excavators (size groups II-V), wheel loaders, graders and motor graders (full model range), handling equipment, asphalt pavers, logging equipment, tracked snow- and swamp-going vehicles.
Among the vast variety of products manufactured by Construction Equipment Division a special place belongs to wheeled and crawler excavators. Wheeled excavators are characterized by high maneuverability, are well adapted for work in the congested conditions of city construction. They can travel on roads on their own without obstructing traffic and damaging road surface. Crawler excavators are indispensable in various types of jobs off-road, on rough terrain, as well as on loose soils. Multiple modifications, unification, adaptability to different operating conditions, availability of a full range of attachments and tools make our wheeled and crawler excavators most demanded among all types of construction equipment.
Motor graders of our manufacture are represented by a complete model range from the lightest (Class 100) to the heaviest (Class 250). Depending on the task and complexity of operations motor graders are produced in different modifications: from simplified light class models for regular maintenance of roads and city streets to full-wheel-drive heavy class models that are capable of large-volume jobs and well-suited for off-road operation. Construction and road equipment is widely used for leveling and shaping of pads and slopes, flattening and moving bulk materials in construction and maintenance of roads, airfields, waterworks, in public utilities.
At present the company is ramping up production of wheel loaders for earth-moving, construction and handling operations in industrial, civil and road construction. A wheel loader does not require large area for maneuvering, while the variety of attachments and tools makes this machine truly universal.
The dealer and service network is enjoying rapid development. At present it comprises more than 30 partner businesses throughout all regions of Russia, CIS and non-CIS, who sell GAZ Group road construction equipment, provide maintenance and warranty service.
In order to improve the efficiency of the dealer network operation the main emphasis is made on enhancing the quality of equipment servicing, timely supply of spare parts.
